We will cover the parts of the uke, how it works, learn the string names and try a chord or two. For children 7 and up who are prepared to learn an instrument in a group setting.

Registration and ukulele required; a limited number of ukuleles are available to check out from the library. Click here or call 978-422-6409 to register.

Fearless Book Club

Wednesday, October 11th at 6:30 pm

This new book club, aimed at avid readers in middle and high school, will bring young people together to read books at a YA/adult level. Readers and caregivers should be aware that selected books may be challenging in form and/or content. The first selection is Veronica Roth’s Divergent, the first in a series of action-packed dystopian novels set in an imagined future US where young people are tested and placed into one of five factions; the faction determines the course of their lives. What happens when you don’t quite fit in? Books will be available for checkout at the library. Open to young readers in grades 6-12.

Registration required. Click here or call 978-422-6409 to register.
