Family Paint Time: Unicorn Fantasia
Wednesday, March 22nd at 4:30 or 6:30 pm
Come to the library and follow a step-by-step plan to create a painting of a colorful unicorn! Ages 5 and up; under 10 must have a supervising caregiver, who is encouraged to paint along! Registration required.

3rd & 4th Grade Book Club
Wednesday, March 29 at 4:30 pm
This month we will discuss Andrew Clements’ Frindle. In this quick and engaging read about a bored but clever elementary schooler’s daydreams that take an unexpected turn. We’ll talk about the book, play a game or two, and even get some frindles of our own! Participants should read the book before the meeting and bring the book with them; copies will be available at the library. Open to children in grades 3 and 4.

Picture Book Club
Wednesday, April 5th at 4:30 pm
The next meeting of the Picture Book Club will be a celebration of Foolery featuring April Foolishness by Teresa Bateman. Join your book-loving friends to talk about that book, enjoy a few more, and celebrate reading! Books can be checked out at the library (participants do not need to bring their copy to the meeting). Open to children in grades k-2.

Retro Snack Bags
Beginning Tuesday, April 18th at 10am
Discover the 1950s with our Retro Snack Bags! Each bag contains snacks first produced in the 1950s - some you may recognize and others you may not! Snack bags are available for children of all ages, and will remain available while supplies last.

Kids Cook!
Wednesday, April 18th at 6:30 pm
Kids in grades 2-8 are invited to Kids Cook! Choose a recipe from Kids Can Cook Anything by America’s Test Kitchen, prepare it at home, then bring it to the library to share with others. Cookbooks are available at the library for checkout; please let us know which recipe you have chosen so we can avoid duplicates.

PlayDough Playdate
Wednesday, April 19th from 10am-12pm
Get creative during school vacation week at the PlayDough Playdate! Kids of all ages (kids under 10 must be accompanied by a caregiver) are invited to drop in to the library on to play with our playdough and accessories.

Watercolor Wednesday
Wednesday, April 19th from 2-4pm
Watercolor Wednesday is back! Join us in the Baker Room as we paint away the afternoon. Kids of all ages are invited to drop in and get creative; children under 10 must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Found Poetry
Wednesday, April 19th at 4:30 pm
Did you know that April is national poetry month? Stop by the library to get your creative juices flowing as we assemble our own found poetry. Newspapers, magazines, and discarded books will be provided. Patrons are invited to construct their own poems using black out poetry and cut up poetry techniques.

Train Play
Thursday, April 20th from 1pm-3pm
All aboard! Drop in to the Baker Room enjoy an afternoon of train play! Piece together tracks and set the scene for a fun event - we’ll even have train crafts! Open to kids of all ages; kids under 10 must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Series Celebration: Warriors
Wednesday, April 26 at 4:30 pm
Calling all cats: It’s gathering time! Come to a special book club celebrating Erin Hunter’s extensive Warriors series. These engaging fantasy books create a fully developed cat world that exists just out of our “Twoleg” sight. We will discuss what makes the books so popular, play some games, and find our own cat avatars. Open to confirmed fans and those who want to try something new; children should have read at least the first book, Into the Wild, before the meeting. Books will be available for checkout at the library. Open to readers in grades 3-7.
